Praying as we Ought to! 3

Praying as we Ought to! 3

“And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive if you have faith.” Matthew 21:22

Before you pray, BELIEVED; while you are praying, BELIEVED; and still BELIEVED when you finished your prayer. Believing is very important because it shows that we are determined in a state of faith. It shows that we do not just wish things for ourselves but in need, and we are willing to do anything God asks us to do to fulfill those desires. When we believe, we can be confident in God’s promises, and He will fulfill them.

Determination and faith must be at the forefront of our prayer. Faith-based prayer should be a part of every Christian’s life and should be specific with the readiness of the mindset to enter into the profound petition and spiritual transformation. If we are unwilling to go through faith’s process, then we are not ready for spiritual transformation during our petition because it will be difficult to please God in the way we desire.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

That is why the third core point Jesus affirms in Mark 11.24 is faith ‘believe that you will receive them.’ You must know that what you desire shall be met. Your goal shall be achieved, and as you pray, you are confident that they are yours. You receive by faith. It is not enough to say, ‘I need this.’ You must have Faith in God and yourself. If you don’t believe, then there will be no hope to anchor your desire in God’s word.

Faith is the foundation for everything else. When you pray, you must build up your faith and confidence that God will provide what He has promised you and what you desire in His will. To ground your heart’s desire in God, you must first believe Him. This is where prayer comes to play, the sound effect of faith that pleases God to tune the channel of an answer to your request. James 1:6 says, “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”

Prayer:
1. Ask God for the strength to carry out the work of Faith by Faith in Christ.
2. Pray and pour out your heart to God now for the power to bring about change in your life. Luke 1:37, “For nothing will be impossible with God.”
