“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
Heavenly Father, as we embark on the journey of this new year, 2025, we humbly come before Your throne of grace. With hearts open and expectant, we seek the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit in every aspect of our lives. As the Sons of Issachar possessed an understanding of the times (1 Chronicles 12:32), grant us wisdom to discern Your will amidst life’s complexities. We know that in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:6). Thus, Lord, lead us not into choices that may stray from fulfilling our divine purpose.
In every decision concerning our marital relationships, ministries, families, businesses, health, and careers, may Your Word be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105). Let us remember the parable of the wise builder who laid his foundation on rock. Help us build our plans with perseverance on Your unwavering truth rather than shifting sands (Matthew 7:24-27). Lord Almighty, rain clarity down upon every crossroad we face and courage in each moment of doubt.
Isaiah 11:2 says, “And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.”
Lord, let your Spirit rest upon us. Grant us patience and insight like King Solomon who implored for an understanding heart to govern wisely (1 Kings 3:9). For earthly riches pale next to the heavenly treasure found in seeking God’s direction daily. We refuse shortcuts that endanger sacred bonds or conflicts with eternal promises You’ve spoken over our lives. Empower our souls with resolve; cement our commitments to align wholly and purely with heaven’s blueprint.
Lastly, we proclaim boldly that “eye has not seen nor ear heard” what You have prepared for those who love You (1 Corinthians 2:9). Shield us from distractions or detours veering off Your destined trail. Seal this prayer in faith — guiding hand-in-hand — compelling us irresistibly towards both eternal relationship and mission fulfilled here on Earth as it is set forth in Heaven above. Amen. Psalm 25:9 says, He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. Amen.
