“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory, honor, and power, for you created all things, and by your will, they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11
Showing gratitude to Jesus every day is an important part of living a life of faith. Jesus loves us deeply, and his love for us never falters, no matter what we do. As John 8:10-11 states, “Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?’ She said, ‘No one, Lord.’ And Jesus said, ‘Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.'” This scripture shows how much Jesus loves each and every one of us despite our shortcomings. To properly show our love and appreciation for this gift from God, we must express our gratitude daily.
Of course, some people may not understand why we must show gratitude to Jesus, but many times we find ourselves in different life situations, and we get to see whether our loved ones will desert us or they will stick around without being too close. This is a widespread trend among humans; no one wishes to associate with failures, downtrodden, weak, and beggarly ones. Instead, everyone desires people who will be with them through the nights and the glorious days. Jesus showed the woman caught in the act of prostitution that her community people could castigate her for not minding the circumstances.
Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
However, as for Jesus, he cannot cast away a loved one for any reason, but, He can stoop low to pick the person up and make an edifice from the broken pieces. Isn’t that the wonder that only love could perform. Jesus is love personified. If we carry His seed in us, we can be the same too. However, giving thanks to Jesus daily is a wonderful way to honor the many blessings in our lives. John 3:16, it says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This verse reminds us of all that God has done for us and why showing gratitude for His great love is important.
Taking time each day to thank Jesus for our blessings can be an act of worship unto Him and create an atmosphere of joy and peace. Whether we pray out loud or simply take a few moments to reflect on all He has done for us, giving thanks helps us remember how much He loves us and keeps His promises. It also helps foster an attitude of humility as we recognize how undeserving we are of certain blessings in our lives. Amen. John 15:5, Jesus said, “I am the vine, and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I, in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me, you can do nothing.”
1. Thank you, Jesus, for your mercy and grace.
2. Father, help me to show love to everyone around me as I go out today, not minding their physical, emotional, or mental state. Amen.
