The Anointing of the Holy Spirit!

“Jesus replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.” Matthew 13:11

The anointing of the Holy Spirit is a powerful and transformative experience that every believer should seek. As Christians, we are blessed to have access to this incredible gift from God. But what does it mean to be anointed by the Holy Spirit? And how can we tap into this power in our daily lives? At least anyone who just got a new appointment or employment gets to know the benefit, allowances, and incentives they get from the new offer. And it is through this divine empowerment that we can navigate our lives with wisdom and spiritual insight.

According to 1 John 2:20, “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.” This verse reminds us that, as believers, we already possess the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is not something we must strive for or earn – it has been freely given to us as a gift from God. So, what do we have with this anointing? We have access to divine wisdom and understanding. We have power over sin and temptation. We have peace in times of trouble and strength when facing adversity.

Proverbs 10:17 says, “Whoever heeds instruction is on the life path, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray.”

However, the most important thing to know is that the Kingdom of God is not in meats and drinks. The scripture made us understand that free things have been given to us. It is, therefore, our responsibility in partnership with the Holy Spirit to harness and appropriate those things you have access to. One such thing is the Lord’s unction from the Holy One Himself to know everything. Therefore, you must understand that what you know gives you what you use and maximize for your benefit. The scripture expresses that you can know all things by the unction of the Holy One. Your ignorance, therefore, results from you not harnessing the unction.

It is possible to know all things, but most importantly, have you recognized you have the unction? The inability to understand what you have will render what you have useless and ineptitude. Therefore, consider those things that have been freely given to you and begin to harness the same today. Remember, the Father is glorified when you are fruitful and do good work. But you may not be productive and fruitful if you do not know what you have. You have something! What do you have? Proverbs 1:5 says, “Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.”

Prayer:
Lord, help me by your Spirit to know all that has been freely given to me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
