The Impact of Jesus’ Crucifixion Today! Part Two

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

The persecution, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ reveal the momentous truth about the nature of our relationship with God. It is an event that reveals the true nature of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, a true prophet, and the Redeemer of the world. Matthew 20:19 states, “They will condemn him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day, he will be raised to life!”. This prophecy was fulfilled because Jesus knew His fate and willingly went through with it because He saw it as part of God’s plan for humanity.

The impact of Jesus’ crucifixion today lies in its ability to reveal heaven and hell. Death on the cross reminds believers that there is life after death, and we must choose whether to spend eternity in heaven or hell. Through this act, Jesus showed us what love truly looks like by taking upon Himself our sins so that we might be reconciled with God. The crucifixion and the resurrection reveal that heaven is real and has no tomb; therefore, it is not a place where the dead are buried. Heaven is the way of life for all eternity, where no tears, pain, nor sorrow exist.

Acts 2:24 says, “But God raised Him from the dead, releasing Him from the agony of death because it was impossible for Him to be held in its clutches.”

Revelation 21:4 reveals that “death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” In other words, there is life after death because God’s love for us is eternal and everlasting. As the resurrection reveals the truth about heaven, it also indicates that hell is real. Remember, Jesus came to earth to save sinners from their sins because He knew there was no silent grave in hell for those condemned to eternal damnation. Therefore, it is time to let go of penitent sin and start a new life with Christ.

Furthermore, Jesus’ crucifixion teaches us about sacrifice and selflessness. This is a great step towards salvation. We can do this by following Jesus’ example and doing what he did: loving God and loving others. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross to save humanity from sin so that everyone could live a good life and enjoy eternity with God in heaven. Behold, Jesus is alive forevermore. John 14:2 says, “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?”

Prayer:
Oh Lord, help me to be saved and to live a good life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
