The Transforming Power of Holiness! Part Two

“Since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:16

How well do you feed your heart with the word of God? What are those things that can affect the cleanliness of your mind? It is evident that we are in the last days, and time is running out. Now more than ever, it is crucial that we understand the transforming power of holiness and how to maintain the cleanliness of the mind. In 1 Thessalonians 4:7, Paul tells us that God did not call us to impurity but holiness. This means that as Christians, we are called to live a life set apart from the world, marked by purity in thought, word, and deed.

Regardless of how we think of Holiness as believers, remember we are called to live holy lives. “As he who called you his holy, you also be holy in all your conduct” (1 Peter 1:15). As obedient children of God, we should not be conformed to the passion of our lustful desires; we are to avoid our former ways of life before becoming a Christian and live according to God’s ways. We can only do this by living by the power of God’s Spirit and following the principles found in God’s word.

Leviticus 20:26 says, “You shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.”

Jesus Christ was of a holy mind, He was without blemish, and that’s why He could be found worthy to be offered as a lamb for the sins of all once and for all. He was always careful and pondered on the path of His feet. We should, as believers, keep ourselves from anything that can contaminate our minds. As we seek to follow God’s will each day, we can increasingly become holy as we become more like Christ. An unbeliever cannot be holy in God’s presence; your heart needs to be sanctified with the blood of Jesus from the dead works of the devil, and you can only achieve this by believing and confessing to the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Give your heart today to God; He will give you a mind of holiness like Christ and give you the grace to live a holy life. Remember, without holiness, no man can see God (Hebrews 12:14). Jesus Christ was found without fault throughout His ministry on earth, and He enjoyed the glory and presence of God. When you have a mind of holiness, you will enjoy the presence and glory of God in an unusual way. Amen. Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Amen.

Prayer :
1. Father Lord, purge me from every form of impurities that can make me unclean before you in the name of Jesus.
2. Lord Jesus, help me to obey your voice and instructions every day of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
