This is Why He Made You Righteous! Part Two

“For in Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2

The Bible verse in Romans 3:22-24 reads, “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” This verse explains why Jesus made us righteous. It’s not because of our efforts or good deeds but His sacrifice.

In essence, we were all sinners who fell short of the glory of God; however, when we put our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, He justified us freely by His grace. This means that even though we didn’t deserve it, He made us righteous by taking on our sins upon Himself at the cross. Therefore, we can stand before a holy God without any guilt or condemnation hanging over us. As stated in Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” I hope you are not allowing the devil to bring condemnation into your mind.

2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Remember, God’s love for humanity is immeasurable, and His grace is sufficient to cover all our shortcomings. Furthermore, the Bible verse in 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us that Christ bore our sins on the cross and gave us His righteousness so that we can be free from condemnation by the devil. So therefore, there is no need for us to feel condemned or burdened by guilt, as Christ has already paid the price for our sins. So likewise, we have been given a new identity in Christ and are now clothed with His righteousness. So, it is clear that no one can judge or condemn us who are in Christ Jesus.

We have been given the gift of salvation through grace and forgiveness, and we should use this to find peace and joy in our lives. The love of God will protect us from any harm and provide us with strength when we are feeling weak. As we strive to serve God faithfully, remember that He will never leave or forsake us. No matter the circumstances, we can have confidence in knowing that Jesus has already taken away our sins and that no one can condemn us again. Let’s cherish it and meditate on his love with a grateful heart. Amen. John 15:4 says, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abides in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” Amen.

Prayer:
1. Dear Lord, thank you for your steadfast love and mercy towards me. And forgive me of any sin disrupting the work of righteousness in my life.
2. Holy Spirit, help me to be zealous of the good works Jesus established on my behalf. Amen.
