Uprooting Fear Through Faith in God!
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; also believe in me.” John 14:1
The idea of trusting God might sound a bit far-fetched for some, but it is one of the best decisions one can make. Uprooting fear and replacing it with trust in God is essential to living a blessed life. It’s not easy to let go of anxieties and worries, but if we take the plunge, we will discover how much more secure our lives can be when resting under the protective wings of God’s love. In any situation, no matter how difficult or impossible it may seem, having faith in God and His promises assures us that He will never fail us.
However, we must remember that our faith should never be without action; although there are times when we have to wait patiently on His timing, taking steps towards progression helps strengthen our trust in Him while bringing us closer to realizing His divine plan for our lives. We can remember Hannah as one of the people who enjoyed the unfailing power of God. She was so depressed because she didn’t have a child; irrespective of the challenges and shame she received from her adversaries, she prayed and trusted God for a child (1 Samuel 1:6-17). Afterward, God blessed her with a son.
Isaiah 50:7 says, “For the Lord GOD will help Me; Therefore, I will not be disgraced; Therefore, I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.”
As much as we can speak of God’s unfailing capacity, there is a place for our persistence and faith in such prayers and God. So, Hannah’s marital success was a direct effect of her faith and God’s ability to do what he said. Just like we could see how God never fails in ‘bible times,’ He still never fails now. God will never let you down in any situation; all it demands is your persistence and strong faith in Him. God’s word and promises to multiply and make a nation through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob never failed. David defeated Goliath because God never fails.
You may be walking with grief and live with brokenness; so many times, you wake up to battle life’s challenges. And the more you fight and try to live on your own, and the more broken your heart seems to be. But God is saying, trust me, I am the only unfailing God. Only if you can trust God wholeheartedly, worship Him in truth, and never stop believing God will never fail on His part. He has never failed and will not fail you at this end of the year, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Psalm 33:4 says, For the word of the LORD is right, and all His work is done in truth.
Prayer:
1. Lord, I thank you for your unfailing love upon my life. Holy Spirit, help me to trust God with a strong desire.
2. Ask God to intervene in that serious situation where you seem to be broken down and forsaken.
3. May the Lord hear your prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.
