Why God Made You?
“The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” Psalm 138:8
When looking at a newborn baby, it’s hard to imagine that they will do something great one day. But every person has a unique and specific purpose in life, placed there by God. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” You may not know what that purpose is yet, but don’t worry. God knows. He knows your purpose. And I pray that purpose will be fulfilled in Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you are afraid that you are different from others and won’t do well in some area of life, don’t worry about it. You may not understand it now, but God does. We are all incredibly unique and special snowflakes made by a loving God for a specific purpose. We are all God’s masterpieces, and he has a unique plan for each of us. Any mistakes you make now or made in the past have been forgiven and should not be a threat to your destiny. In as much that you are in Christ, the old has gone, the new has come. Apostle Paul had the opportunity to testify to this truth when he wrote:
Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
As you go through life, it’s important to remember that you have a purpose, and you are not an accident. Proverbs 16:4 says, “The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.” Everything that happens to you is part of God’s plan, and he has a unique purpose for you. You may not know what that purpose is right now, but with time and patience, you will find out. One of the best ways to find your purpose is to begin with God. Spend time with Him in prayer and Bible reading, and ask him to reveal his plan for your life. He will guide you and give you the wisdom you need to fulfill his purpose.
Whatever your purpose may be, it’s essential to remember that you are not alone. God will walk with you every step of the way, and he will give you all the strength you need to achieve your goals. So don’t be afraid to pursue your dreams; with God by your side, you can do anything. When you walk with God, you don’t have to worry about where you’re going. He knows what you need to do, and he’ll help you get there. Therefore, hold on to Him. Colossians 1:16 says, “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.”
1. Jesus, thank you for the blessings of life, and I am thankful for everything you have given me.
2. Oh Lord, draw me close to you and never let me go wandering in this world.
3. May the Lord fulfill His purpose for you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
