Winning in Life’s course!

“My eyes are always on the LORD, for He will free my feet from the mesh.” Psalm 25:15

As humans, there is no way to escape facing battles in Life. There will be troubles here and there, difficult times, times we feel that we are done for, but we have a way out. The Bible says that we will not be tempted beyond what we can bear and what our faith can handle. This shows that we will surely face tribulations; it is definite, but there is another assurance, and that is we will win the battles. But how do we win?

Identifying the problem: to solve a problem, we must first know what we are dealing with. For example, a doctor has to first diagnose the sickness or disease before knowing what to prescribe for the patient. Identifying the problem may bring fear, and fear is not bad unless we deal with it in a bad way and we let it affect our decisions. However, we can let the knowledge of the problem we face fuel our fear or use it as motivation to overcome the obstacle.

Proverbs 29:25 says, “The fear of humankind lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”

Remember, God does not respond to fear but to your faith. Therefore, your fears should not make you panic and run around for solutions when you can talk to God as David did. In Psalm 56:3-4, David said, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? Whom do you trust when fear comes knocking?

I encourage you to trust in God. You know your strength and weakness: you know what you can do, especially when you know that you cannot win the battle on your own. You have to let God know that he is in control. Fix your eyes on God. He is your only way out of any tribulation and the one that will strengthen your faith. Don’t allow fear to stop you from trusting in Him. Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Prayer:
1. My eyes are fixed on you; help me, Lord.
2. Psalm 118:6 “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can anyone do to me?”
