“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3
May the Lord bless you as you work diligently to support yourself, your community and bring glory to God’s kingdom. May he comfort you in times of trouble and ensure your life is well-lived. In the name of Jesus, may the Lord destroy every power harvesting your good reward. In the Bible, the Lord tells us to do good and to expect good in return (see Psalm 37:3, Galatians 6:7, and James 1:12). But what do we do when it seems like the evil one is getting the best of us when it feels like we do not see any good reward for our good deeds?
We keep doing good, knowing that our ultimate reward is waiting for us in heaven. As believers, we know that our faith in God guarantees us a good reward here on earth. However, we also acknowledge the existence of evil powers that seek to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). These powers may try to harvest our blessings by operating through people or situations. Therefore, we must pray for protection against such forces. We must understand that prayer is not just a religious exercise but a weapon of warfare. It is through prayer that we communicate with God and release His power into every aspect of our lives.
Psalm 55:22 says, “Cast your burden upon the LORD, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.”
When we pray for protection against evil powers, we tap into God’s divine shield and experience His supernatural intervention in our situations. It is also essential to remember that Jesus Christ has already defeated the devil on the cross (Colossians 2:15). In Philippians 1:6, the apostle Paul writes, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” The Lord will indeed bring our good work to completion, but sometimes we need to pray for His protection against evil powers that might try to steal our good reward.
So let’s keep doing good, knowing that the Lord will bring our good work to completion. And let’s pray for His protection against evil powers that might try to harvest our good reward. I pray today that the spirit of error assigned to turn your reward into reproach shall die in Jesus’ name. May God protect you from all forms of harm and raise a hedge of protection around you and your loved ones. Amen. Job 22:28 says, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Amen.
Prayer:
In the name of Jesus, may the Lord destroy every power harvesting your good reward! Amen.
