Joy in the Holy Ghost!
“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” Romans 14: 17.
The greatest kingdom is the kingdom of God. Though we live and see more about the kingdom of this world, what we see is still incomparable to what is in God’s kingdom. However, some of our relative and human-centered activities have a part to play in the kingdom of God, while most of the activities we invest our time into lack eternal substance.
Apostle Paul spoke to the people of Rome about the kingdom of God, ‘For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.’ Romans 14:17. In other words, there’s a different approach to the kingdom of God, and it is in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can make this possible.
2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”
We find the strength to love through the Holy Spirit, and we can only find sustainability in Christ through Him. If we desire to enter the Kingdom of God, we must learn to find joy in the Holy Ghost. This is very simple to do. Holy Spirit dwells in a peaceful place, and our hearts will be at peace if we can be in love and one mind with each other as Christ lives in us.
I encourage all believers to seek joy in the holy ghost because it is the source of life that helps us to let go and let God. We can’t dwell with Unforgiveness, yesterday’s mistakes, or the adverse circumstance we have faced this year and expect the joy in the Holy Ghost. Even as we seek to meet our daily needs, we must not allow them to consume us. The kingdom of God must be our focus. Psalm 73:23 says, “Yet I am always with You; You hold my right hand.”
1. Lord, do not take your Holy Spirit away from me; help me find joy in you.
2. Psalm 119:173: Oh Lord, protect my family and me from all that is evil in Jesus’ name.
