Strengthening Faith During Testing! Part Two

“The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD tried the hearts.” Proverbs 17:3

Faith is tested by our willingness to take risks but strengthened by our perseverance in the face of adversity. When life throws difficult times our way, it can seem like everything is against us. However, testing our faith in God and Christ can help us get through these times more easily. Our faith gives us the strength to carry on, despite the circumstances we may face. We are reminded through scripture that no matter how hard things may get, we are never alone.

Testing our faith is the only way we can truly understand its strength. Remember, struggles of faith are common in the Bible, and those who overcome them are commended. Many people faced challenges in their faith and had to rely on God’s help to get through them. For example, Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery. As a result, he spent many years in prison unjustly. However, he didn’t give up on God. Instead, he trusted Him and eventually rose to a high position in Egypt.

James 1:12 says, “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”

Job was faced with tremendous suffering. He lost his possessions, his children, and even his health. But he didn’t lose his faith. He continued to trust in God and eventually was restored. Paul was faced with many difficult challenges. He faced imprisonment, beatings, and even death threats. But he didn’t give up his faith. He continued to trust in God and was eventually converted. These people faced trials and struggles of faith, but they didn’t give up. They coped with these struggles by relying on God and His strength. So, trust in God; He will provide the strength to get through any test.

No matter how deep the valley is, faith in God can always show us how to reach the mountaintop. Therefore, if you struggle with faith, remember to rely on God. He is there to help you through it. God’s love for us is infinite, and He will never leave our side during tough times. Faith in Him helps keep our hope alive so we don’t succumb to despair or fear when faced with adversity. Through prayer and building a deeper relationship with God and Christ, we can be filled with peace even when going through the most challenging situations in life. Amen. Psalm 11:5 says, “The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked; His soul hates the lover of violence.” Amen.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, you are my strength when I am weak; For you alone can save me from every trial and tribulation and bring me to the light. Therefore, save me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
