The Audacity of Faith!

The Audacity of Faith!

“Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

Faith can teach us about overcoming adversity. Though so many people have defined faith according to their experience and inspiration. Let’s look into some of those definitions: faith is jumping without looking; faith believes the impossible to be possible; faith is taking action based on God’s words, without doubt; faith is walking according to God’s words, and so on. However, the Bible’s definition of faith is evidence of things hoped for and the assurance of things not seen.

Whatever it is, we can confidently say that faith is the secret code of victory that overcomes the world. It overcomes doubt, quenches fear, makes the impossibility possible, and helps us to please God. Jesus talked about some people that had great faith. They did something that caused Jesus to testify to their faith, and there were many other scenarios like that in the Bible. You are to declare your faith when confronted with circumstances that are not in your favor.

Luke 17:6 says, “And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

There is no limit to what your faith can accomplish if you believe. Jesus said we could command the forces of nature through our faith. Faith is God’s address, while fear is the enemy’s (the Devil) address. When you exercise fear, you give the Devil a foothold in your life (Proverbs 29:25). However, when you exercise faith, you give God the sweet aroma that pleases Him (Hebrews 11:6), and He is attracted wherever you call upon him by faith. Faith is not something that comes from outside yourself but rather from within.

Therefore, fear not, but rather feed your faith by studying the word of God, praying consistently in agreement with the word. Mathew 9:29 says, “… Let it be done for you according to your faith!”. In other words, Jesus said let it be it unto you according to your faith, not what the Devil is saying, which is according to fear. In job’s lamentation, he said the things he feared the most had taken over him. Hence, fear not, but put your faith into action. Matthew 21:22 says, “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive if you have faith.”

Prayer:
1. Thank you, Jesus, for my identity in you and for strengthening my faith amid raging circumstances.
2. Lord, I receive unwavering faith to function maximally in all sectors of my life.
3. Psalm 102:13; I pray that heaven releases upon you the invisible oil of favor because it is your set time to be favored, and your appointed time has come in Jesus’ name. Amen.
