Walking in God’s Light!
“Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance.” Psalm 89:15
God is mighty, lives in holiness, power, and glory. He has been our protector and provider from generation to generation. And from the beginning, He has been relating with humankind in love, to uplift us, provide for us, protect us and make us truly his own.
It is so wonderful that God didn’t just create the world and leave us in it; he’s aware and involved in what we do here. He administers everything in truth and righteousness. Significantly, God created light to overcome the darkness of this world so that we can have a perfect place to live. He is light; He is a God of light, and He can’t operate in darkness.
Psalm 80:3 says, “Restore us, O God, and cause Your face to shine upon us, that we may be saved.”
Evidence is the fact that He created light before He could do any other thing. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light (Genesis 1:3). And for everyone who walks in this light, darkness will not have an impact on them. This is a great blessing for us. Everything found in light is a blessing; no failures nor evil in it. And for us to receive and be a usual benefactor of this blessing, all we need to do is put our heart to wisdom and walk in this everlasting light of God.
We must also do away with every form of darkness; every act of evil and God’s light must be our focus. Our consciousness must be active for whatever is of the kingdom. And it is not just enough for us to enjoy the blessings and joy we found in the light of God alone; we need to share it with others because that’s what light does. The more we share it, the less the darkness, till the whole world is full of God’s light. Isaiah 2:5 says, “O house of Jacob, come and let us walk In the light of the LORD.”
Lord, help me to be a true light. I receive wisdom and boldness to light the world.
