Worry About Nothing!
“Therefore, I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not the life more than meat, and the body more than raiment?” Matt. 6:25
Worries dictate the decisions, the actions you make, and the results you get. It can dictate every move of your life because it influenced by emotion. Today, I want to challenge you to begin to question your worries. Yes’… I mean every word of that statement! My dear, I want to let you in on what you should worry about. For most people, food, shelter, relationships, business, career, and health are top on their list of worry and concern.
While these things are essential for healthy and comfortable living, however, from the scripture for today, Jesus asked a fundamental question that indicates that He is trying to show us something better for life. “… Is not the life more than [food] meat, and the body more than [clothes and shelter] raiment?” What’s your answer to these questions? Could it be that there is something more important in our lives? Something we need to think and care about Jesus went further in Mathew 6:33 to say, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.”
The truth is, you need to begin to live for something bigger than your basic needs, or else you will forever be controlled and negatively influenced by “small” things. Change your worries before they change you. Take more time to think outside of your basic needs and more about what you can do to further promote the influence and the interest of the kingdom of God and righteousness wherever you are and in all you do. Remember, Proverbs 13:25 says “A righteous man eats to his heart’s content, but the stomach of the wicked is empty.”
1. Thank you for all the blessings you have given me and your word to strengthen my faith.
2. I shield myself with the blood of Jesus against all evil that releases fear as breaking news.
3. Psalm 119:114 You are my hiding place and my shield; I put my hope in Your word.
I receive strength to work with faith daily. Every thought of fear is brought down in Jesus name.
